Misc Projects
A collection of projects I wanted to put somewhere other than my personal hard drive, featuring a little VFX action.
Top 3 Circus
I designed and animated this circus-themed Top 3 feature, drawing from vintage circus posters and Cuphead (the video game).
A displacement-map setup made it easy to swap any logo or graphic onto the curtains (carousel below).
Brendan Donovan Hair on Fire VFX
I created this shot using tracking, compositing, and Particular particles to sell the “hair on fire” effect.
HAIR MASKS DRIVE THE PARTICLES
Kids Dance Cam
I designed and animated the Kids Sunday Dance Cam package, including the intro and a set of animated overlays for live crowd shots.
This one has sound, as it rightly should.
Broadcast Promo … Things
Internally, we inexplicably call these “elevators.”
I animate existing promo-item artwork into short broadcast elements that run alongside an ad read and some B-roll.
